“I was very impressed with how supportive the Volunteer2 team was at tailoring elements to our local needs and that continued all the way through the training.”

Volunteer Impact: Volunteer Profiles
|
Each volunteer’s profile is made up of a few different sections:
-
Contact information
- Custom Fields
- Custom Qualifications
- Time & Day Availability
- General Interests
- Hours
- Schedule
- Committee Membership
- Communications
When new volunteers fill out an online application form linked from your website, their information goes directly into the database that you will access so you don't have to type it in. The software won't treat them as approved volunteers until you indicate the approval. Anytime volunteers need to update their profile, they won't need to contact you to do it. They can make the changes online and your data will automatically become current. For those volunteers who do not access the internet, you have complete access to their profile to keep it up to date for them.

Profile Information
|
Contact Information
- Name, address, phone numbers, two email addresses, text message address, photo, preferred time and place for phone calls
- As part of our setup service, we can import the contact information for all of your volunteers.
Custom Fields
- You can add as many custom fields to a volunteer profile as you need. If you’d like, we’d be happy to consult with you on this and how it applies to your environment and then get this all set up for you.
- These fields can be set up to gather information in the following forms:
. Single check box
. Short text
. Long text
. Yes / No drop down list
. Customised drop down list
. Number
. Date
. Upload a resume or other documentation
- Volunteers can edit this information in their profile if you wish. You can also choose to have any of the custom fields visible but not editable by the volunteer or not visible to the volunteer at all.
- We can import information that is exported from your current system for these fields.
- Drag and drop custom fields to rearrange as needed
- Update volunteer profile information for multiple volunteers at once.
Custom Qualifications
- You can add as many custom qualification fields to a volunteer profile as you need. These can be used to track volunteer skills, trainings, criminal background checks and anything else that helps determine whether a volunteer is suited for one role or another. If you’d like, we’d be happy to consult with you on this and how it applies to your environment and then get this all set up for you.
- An unlimited number of volunteer qualifications can be recorded for each volunteer.
- When you are assigning activities, the software will compare the qualifications for each volunteer to the minimum qualifications required for the activity so that you know who is qualified to do what.
- You can let volunteers update their own qualifications and if you’d like the software will ignore their changes until you verify them.
- We can import information that is exported from your current system for these fields.
- Drag and drop custom qualification fields to rearrange as needed.
- Update custom qualifications for multiple volunteers at once.

Different Application Forms for Different Types of Volunteering
- Create up to three different application forms for your different types of volunteers.
- Based on the link the volunteer selects they are directed to answer only the questions you need from them.
Interests & Availability
- Volunteers can indicate the types of work they would like to do.
- Volunteers can indicate the days and times they are typically available to volunteer.
Schedule
- All of a volunteer’s assignments are visible on one screen in their profile.
- If you wish, volunteers who meet a set of criterion that you specify, or volunteers who you have been pre-approved for a role, can sign up for specific shifts and be automatically assigned. This saves our clients significant amounts of time.
- If you’d like, volunteers can remove themselves from a shift up to a number of hours (that you specify) before the shift
Committee Membership
- You can create committees (or groups of any sort) that allow volunteers on that committee to communicate with each other via email.
Recording Hours & Generating Reports
- Reports on a single volunteer's hours or outcomes or their schedule are now also available directly in the volunteer’s profile.
- Recording a single volunteer’s hours is now available directly within the volunteer profile.
Communications
- Sending emails or text messages to a single volunteer is now available directly within the volunteer profile.
- Create a personal message that appears on the homepage of the volunteer’s profile, or on the time clock, after they log in.
